The Beginning of the Future

So with my self publishing and now filmmaking, I needed to establish a business to keep things in line. My first thought was my dog, who gives me so much inspiration, love, and laughter. Anytime we go to the beach, she's a bouncy little baby girl. So a thought occurred to me: when I'm on a writing spree, I'm so much like her at the beach. I'm a bouncy boxer too!

So Bouncy Boxer Media was born. I will be using this business for all my media adventures. So far it's been for self-published projects and a production company for my screenwriting. Someday soon it'll be so much more.

As I start to gain more experience and credit, I start to think about what I want for my art career. To be able to express myself and offer my own original ideas brings me hope. I hope to also inspire others, especially women and spoonies, to do the same. Reach for it! Grab it! Be a bouncy boxer!

Affirmation: I love to replace destructive thought with creative thought

Today's affirmation is great. It's the reason why I write. I take all the feelings I have about the dangers in my life and turn it into something beautiful. My inspiration can become someone else's inspiration.

When I think of how tough my journey has become, I think of a serene location like the beach. Then I turn the bad into good.

How do you turn something destructive into creative?

New Beginnings

Today's uplifting poem about my new adventure in four weeks.

Things keep spiralling out of control,
My life couldn't be more sad.
The bills pile up, the stress does too,
And overall my mind is so mad.

Time to try new things, see new ground,
Find myself all over,
Make new friends, see new sites,
Maybe even find a lover.

I can do anything I want,
Be whoever I want to be.
The sky's the limit, my heart is happy,
This is an exciting adventure for me.

So what's the next challenge?
The new life I can have.
Do I learn new things, try a new career,
Make people cry, or make people laugh?

The arts have always have been a passion,
The muse and inspiration of my heart.
I'll try to make a career of it,
Find what sets me apart.

I write what I feel,
I sing what I love,
I act what I can,
And I know what I'm made of.

So look for me on the media.
I'm planning to touch souls.
My voice can help those like me,
And full some painful life holes.

What do you think?

Inspiration in the Fog

Do you ever get an inspiring story through a dream while under the migraine coma?

Today I have been stuck in bed with extreme pain. I took a painkiller and got some good rest. While I was resting I had the strangest dream that could actually become a great fantasy young reader's novel/series. Did I just dream up the next Twilight/Hunger Games sensation? I have a notebook near my bed to write down as much as I could remember.

Anyone else get some good inspiration in the fog?

Lincoln

Who's your favorite historical figures who lived with migraines or another headache disorder?

I Googled "historical figures with migraines" and the most inspirational woman came up: Marilyn Monroe. Why do I say she's inspirational? The woman has curves and embraces them! She proved to women in the past, present, and future that curves are beautiful. She chased her dreams, inspired women everywhere, and battled migraine. Her triggers were more than likely flashing lights, sounds, and smoke.

The Huffington Post did an article in May 2012 about 13 Celebrities with Migraines to include:

Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives) - migraineur since age 14
Lisa Kudrow (Romy & Michele's High School Reunion) - child migraines
Cindy McCain (Senator McCain's wife) - silent struggle with migraines
Ben Affleck (Argo) - treated in the ER in 2006
Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) - uses Botox as treatment
Janet Jackson (music superstar) - vestibular migraine
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (LA Lakers) - used alternative treatments like acupuncture and diet
Michele Bachmann (2012 Presidential candidate) - criticized by the public about migraines
Loretta Lynn (country legend) - migraineur since age 17
Serena Williams (tennis superstar) - menstrual migraine
Carly Simon (music superstar) - found alcohol was the biggest trigger
Jeff Tweedy (musician) - migraines connected to mood disorders
Troy Aikman (Dallas Cowboys) - believes fathers smoking as a child contributed

You are not alone!
